Abstract

The central corneal thickness and intraocular pressure of 38 intraocular lens implantation cases were measured by the use of Haag-Streit corneal phachometer type I and Perkins hand held applanation tonometer during the 30 days postoperatively. The restults were fallowings; 1. Preoperative mean central corneal thickness was 0.50¡¾0.025§®. 2. The mean postoperative central corneal thickness was highest, 0.59¡¾0.08§®, on the 1st postoperative day and then it had decreased progressively to 0.51¡¾0.04§® on the 20th postoperative day. 3. Preoperative mean intraocular pressure was 13.38¡¾3.61 mmHg. 4. The mean postoperative intraocular pressure was highest, 20.17¡¾6.45mmHg, on the 1st postoperative day and returned to close to the preoperative value on the 5th postoperative day.
